Dr Monjur Showkat

Dr Monjur Showkat completed MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh and received a WHO scholarship to study Cardiology in London.

He trained in cardiology at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London and its partner hospitals Hammersmith, Royal Brompton, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He also trained at the Heart Hospital, University College London, and Exeter College, Oxford University. He completed training in Improving the Quality of Health Services at Harvard University in the USA.

Dr Showkat previously received the Imperial College London President's Award for Excellence in Education and Teaching (2025). This year Dr Monjur Showkat received the Imperial College School of Medicine Education award for Teaching Excellence 2026.

A Public Health Advocate and Innovator, he is the co-founder of REVIVE, a public life-saving skills app available on the Google Play Store (REVIVEME.UK).
